Here At Compass
The Valley Parent Summit
August 2
Between packing lunches, remembering cleats, Googling “how to get kids to talk about their day,” and wondering if veggie chips count as vegetables… we get it. You want to raise kind, confident, emotionally healthy humans—but sometimes it feels like you’re just trying to make it to bedtime. Good news: you’re not alone. At the Valley Parent Summit, you’ll join a community of real parents navigating the same ups, downs, and “what now?” moments. No pressure. No perfect answers. Just honest conversations, practical tools, and some much-needed encouragement. We’ll talk parenting, character-building, mental health, and creating meaningful moments with your kids (yes—even in the carpool line). Plus, you’ll hear from our NextGen staff—parents and leaders who’ve seen it all and aren’t afraid to share the messy, beautiful lessons they’ve learned along the way.
Community Groups
Life can be a solo trek, but we’re wired for connection – it’s in our DNA. That’s why Compass Groups exist: to bring people together. It’s a place where laughter, support, and real-life wisdom mix to give us a boost. These groups are about sharing life, finding common ground, and growing – not just spiritually, but in friendship and understanding too. Here, you’re part of something bigger, where every story matters, including yours. Join in, share your journey, and let’s thrive together.

About Jesus
It’s natural to have questions about God. Have you ever wondered what God thinks of you? Do you have questions about who Jesus is and why people want to follow him? Have you ever considered what it means to become a follower of Jesus? These are great questions!
Made New
Baptism is the way of expressing our commitment to following Jesus; it is a pledge of our faith and life to God. It best symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It also signifies your new life in Christ as your sins are washed away with your faith in Jesus and you become a new creation in Him.

Community Groups
Compass Groups are all about building community. Groups are typically made up of six to ten people who gather together once a week in homes, restaurants or other places in our community. Compass Groups are built around individuals sharing similar interests or life stages and they’re one of the best ways to develop meaningful connection at Compass while growing in your walk with Christ.
Serve Opportunities
At Compass, we believe every Christ-follower is called to serve and minister to others, impacting lives in meaningful ways. Our mission is to connect you with a volunteer team where your unique talents can shine, fostering real change. More than serving, it’s about joining a community of volunteers, building lasting friendships, and enjoying the journey together. Explore this page to discover where you’re called to contribute. Prayer
Prayer
Prayer is purposeful communication with God. God invites people to pray and communicate with Him throughout the day. We should pray when things are going great and when life is lousy. In fact, the Bible encourages us to “pray continually” (1 Thes. 5:17). Prayer can happen anywhere and at any time as God is always available to listen.
Sometimes we may want to pray, but not know where to start. The good news is that God understands what we’re trying to say—even if we don’t quite know how to say it (Romans 8:26-27). God cares about what’s going on in your life: the good, the bad and even the ugly. In fact, he wants to help you with whatever’s going on in your life—all you have to do is ask. The Bible says we can approach God with confidence, knowing that He is ready and willing to help us whenever we’re in need (Hebrews 4:16).
